In addition, management of chapter projects provide opportunities for leadership and connections. Make a difference in your community by meeting and working with other leaders in other corporations, businesses and government arenas. On the state level, compete in debate competitions, resume and interview competitions, writing competitions and speak-up competitions at bi-annual California Jaycee meetings.

On an international level, the Certified JCI Trainer program is a training program aimed at developing new and young trainers for the Jaycee organization by coaching and providing opportunities to train with more experienced trainers in a series of certified courses.
